HISTORY

The Reclamation Research Group formed in 2006 as a technology spin-off company from Montana State University. The Reclamation Research Group  engages in the same type of work performed by the Reclamation Research Unit at Montana State University, for over the past 40 years. The Reclamation Research Unit at MSU is the precursor to the Reclamation Research Group, LLC (RRG). The Reclamation Research Unit, and now Reclamation Research Group, has been, and will be, a partner with State, Federal and private sector entities in bringing unbiased state-of-the-art science to land rehabilitation problems in the western United States.  The Reclamation Research Group is committed to engaging in the sometimes spirited debate about the future of West as measured through our ability as a society to reclaim lands disturbed by historic or current natural resource development.  We maintain that the future economic well being of our land is inextricably woven into the safe, healthful and productive reuse of lands previously disturbed by natural resource development. We embrace the long-term view that we are all truly entitled to a clean and healthful environment and that ecological and human health risks attributable to natural resource development can be mitigated through thoughtful application of land reclamation science.
